Country Music’s “Artist to Watch” Shares Two New Songs Ahead Friday Release of Debut Album MERCURY LANE
In advance of Friday’s (October 12) release of his hotly-anticipated debut album, Mercury Lane, Jimmie Allen will make his national TV debut on NBC’s TODAY tomorrow, Tuesday October 9. He will play his Top 15 single, “Best Shot” which with more than 46 million streams, has become the #1 Most Shazamed song in Country music.
Always yearning to service his fans with new music, last Friday, ahead of his fourth Grand Ole Opry appearance, Allen released a cover of Michael Jackson’s famous “Will You Be There” and made a seventh song off Mercury Lane available instantly with each pre-order. After sharing his hopeless romantic side with “Make Me Want To,” in September, Allen’s brand-new “County Lines” allows Allen to show off the singer’s more bouncy, fun charm. Allen teamed up with Spotify and Starbucks to release the countryfied take on “Will You Be There” which can be heard exclusively on Spotify, on the “Nation of US” playlist on the Starbucks app as well as in-store at Starbucks 8,500 locations across the United States.
Mercury Lane, named for the street he grew up on, is Allen’s first full-length album. The project comes nearly one year to the day after Allen quietly dropped his self-titled EP which earned him recognition on a slew of “Artist to Watch” titles. The album pays tribute to the origin of his incredible story of perseverance, as depicted in his docu-series “Jimmie Allen All In,” and the influence home and family has had on his journey. Mercury Lane, produced by Ash Bowers and Eric Torres is available for pre-order here.
Following a busy release week, Jimmie will jet off to the UK alongside labelmate, Chase Rice on the Lambs & Lions UK Tour. This November he will hit the road again in support of Scotty McCreery and Kane Brown’s tours.
Jimmie will perform in the 10am hour of NBC’s TODAY on October 9, 2018—check your local listing for more details.
